Apparel & Garment Making Centre inaugurated at Pasighat
PASIGHAT, Sep 13: Arunachal Pradesh has the potential to promote the textiles sector and give a fillip to entrepreneurship and job creation, stated Union Textile Minister Smriti Zubin Irani while inaugurating an Apparel and Garment Making Center on Tuesday at Gumin Nagar, Pasighat in presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union MoS for Home, Kiren Rijiju, MoS for Textile, Ajay Tamta, State's Textile, Handicrafts and Cooperation, Minister Tapang Taloh and Lok Sabha MP, Ninong Ering.
Dedicating the Centre to the people of Arunachal, Union Minister Irani informed that her ministry would set up six more incubation centers to bring modern ready-made garment industry in the state. This was one of the first organized efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the North East Region Textile Promotion Scheme (NERTPS) of the Ministry of Textiles.
She extended her gratitude to the state government for its active support and cooperation without which the mission would not have been possible. Congratulating the entrepreneurs who would be running the facility, the Minister assured all possible support to them in making the units commercially viable and self-sustainable.
It would give an opportunity to local entrepreneurs to convert their ideas and designs into flourishing businesses and opportunities to the unemployed trained youths and provide a fillip to the traditional sectors like handlooms and handicrafts to convert the traditional designs into modern garments and market opportunities, asserted the Union Minister.
"I have directed my ministry to promote single window clearances, and reduce paperwork to the minimum wherever possible. I have begun work on creating infrastructure for skills development and textile manufacturing, job creations and market linkages etc after recent announcement of Rs.6000 crore package by the union government. Development of the Northeast region is high on the list of priorities but this will need concerted efforts in the face of the various obstacles that tend to derail economic development in the NER. The local products can get tremendous demands in national and international markets if properly channelized."
She also stated of holding a meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu, MoS Rijiju, MP Ninong Ering and state's Textile Minister Taloh soon to find out way and means to boost textile sector in the state.
Speaking during the function, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has appealed to the youths to give up the pursuit of government jobs and become self-employed and also employ others with their skills and knowledge. They should take interest in entrepreneurships and promote export of indigenous products. There is immense scope in agriculture, horticulture, tourism, hydropower sectors etc., and it can be taken up for creation of jobs and strengthening economic growth of the state, he added.
While seeking financial assistance from the central government for all-round development of the state, he assured to utilize every penny judiciously and suggested to send third party monitoring team by the central government to know ground realities/practical development of schemes and projects.
Union MoS Kiren Rijiju termed the occasion as historic and boon for the state. While congratulating the people, he assured to extend all cooperation and support for development and betterment of the state.
Earlier, Minister Tapang Taloh appreciated the work of NBCC for timely completion of the Centre. The women folks of East Siang District are traditional weavers but they used old traditional methods of weaving and produced in small amount which are consumed locally. The traditional exquisite designs and motifs, which are incorporated by the weavers in the products using the traditional loin loom, is a tedious and time consuming process. Now they will get proper training and scopes in this field.
Commissioner Textile, T Taggu in his address presented a detail report on establishment of the Apparel and Garment Making Centre, Pasighat.
The incubation center has three units. Unit for skill development awarded to Technopact Advisors Pvt. Ltd, Gurgaon, second and third units awarded to Elam Industries Pvt. Ltd Pasighat and Viraj Export Pvt. Ltd respectively. The purpose of the incubation center is to impart training to youths of the state for their self employment. The mode of 200 trainees batch selection would be from all districts of the state.
The function was attended by MLAs Kaling Moyong, Lombo Tayeng, Kento Rina, Tatung Jamoh, Olom Panyang, DIGP (Central Range), DC Isha Khosla and SP Pranav Tayal. DIPRO
Mandaviya announces Rs 10 cr. for maintenance of Potin-Bopi road
ZIRO, Sep 13: Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Chemical Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya has announced Rs 10 Cr. for maintenance of the Potin to Bopi stretch of road.
The union minister, who visited Ziro on Tuesday by road to get first hand information about the road conditions of this region, directed the Regional Manager, Western Highway Zone to submit the DPR for the maintenance to his ministry at the earliest for releasing the amount.
"Good roads accelerate the pace development. This stretch of road needs immediate maintenance," he said.
While interacting with the accompanying MLAs, HoDs of the district, regional officers and engineers of the MoRTH, he emphasized on the need of better communication and coordination amongst them to expedite the land acquisition process and begin the TAH construction.
He directed the Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen to submit the compensation package within a week to the ministry. He also assured not to divert the present alignment of the TAH that runs through the Ziro-Hapoli town, as all the villages in the valley are well connected to this old road.
He also inaugurated the "Jan Aushadhi "medical store in General Hospital, Ziro.
Informing that the Jan Aushadhi Scheme launched in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday is an initiative by the Government of India to make available quality generic medicines at affordable prices to poor people. He assured that there will be no shortage of medicines in these stores.
Earlier, he visited the Shivlinga at Kardo Hills and offered prayers.

Central rule imposed not just on Governor's report: Rajkhowa
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Outgoing Governor J P Rajkhowa has asserted that the brief spell of the President's Rule in the state from January 26 to February 19 was not imposed on the Governor's report only.
"The Central rule was imposed only after proper assessment and due application of mind by the President," he said in a message before leaving the state.
Rajkhowa, who had refused to quit after being nudged by the Centre to do so in the wake of the Supreme Court's judgement against him, was dismissed from the Governor's post Monday.
On the advancement of the Assembly session and the July 13 judgement by a five-member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court holding that as "un-constitutional" and ordering restoration of the status-quo, the Governor said he would not like to comment.
"I would not like to go into the merit or otherwise of the judgement and order of the Supreme Court, because the High Courts and the highest judiciary have the authority under the Constitution to interpret the constitutional provisions and pass their verdicts," he said.
"It was a great opportunity for me to serve all of you, to the best of my abilities, with honesty, integrity, utmost sincerity, full commitment and dedication with the objective of ushering in good governance," the outgoing Governor said.
Rajkhowa said in his message he was happy that most of the people of the state, particularly the young generation, wanted Arunachal Pradesh to be developed in all fronts in a corruption-free and balanced manner.
“Most of you have realised that without fair, transparent and corruption-free governance, people continue to suffer, economic development takes a back stage and unemployment level goes up.”
He and his family were accorded a warm farewell by the well-wishers in the Raj Bhavan. PTI
The wait starts

People of the state woke up to the terrible news of firing at Sangrungwa in East Kameng on August 13 where Arunachal Pradesh Police Service officer DSP Bomto Kamdak was killed. A villager was also killed while another was left seriously injured during the cross fire, as reported between the police and Tagyung Yangfo, a habitual offender who had escaped from jail.
The govt has since honoured the officer who laid down his life while in line of duty and announced compensation for his family. For the family, the pain of losing a dear one is never going to go away.
To the solace of the family, there has been immense outpour of anger at the mindless killing. Candle lit marches have been taken out across the state seeking justice for the late officer.
On that fateful day, another family lost a beloved one. Sai Bagang, who was killed in the crossfire, left behind his children and wife. These young children were in no way responsible for the actions of the adults and they must be given a fair chance by the authorities.
But even after a month, the police is yet to trace the whereabouts of Tagyung and a villager.
It is unlikely that they will return/surrender soon fearing retribution from the villagers but not from the police.
It is a fact that criminals in the state have no fear or regard for the police or the judiciary. They know that they can manipulate the system easily.
Most of the time Police, even though overworked and understaffed does its job well by arresting criminals, making fair investigations and charge-sheeting but like elsewhere in the country, judiciary in the state takes a long time to deliver justice.
Arunachal remains one of the few states in the country with abysmal conviction rate because of partial separation of judiciary from executive resulting in massive rise in crimes each year. This is a state where people get away with all kinds of crime including murder. While some cases are solved instantly on "mutual understandings" and compromise but for those who choose to wait for judiciary to intervene, the painful wait goes on for years.
It is common knowledge that criminals are harboured by politicians and other influential people, the reason why we have so many habitual offenders in the state. Whenever there is a political power struggle or even a street fight, these criminals who should be inside jails are the ones who are used as volunteers. And not surprisingly, these same people who use criminals as they deem fit will be the first ones to come out in public to condemn crimes, forgetting that criminals are empowered by such despicable behaviour.
Today, criminals have no fear for police or the judiciary because they know system can be bended as and when needed.
While we wait and hope that justice is delivered, the poignant words posted on a social networking site by Tomo Basar, the father in law of Late Kamdak is a powerful reminder to all of us.
…"By taking over this fight as yours, you have made the people those who matter to think about the need for establishing rule of law in the state ever more seriously. May the light from all these candles is consolidated into a flame to burn down the might of the criminals. Together we can do this. The people of my generation had inherited a very peaceful state from our ancestors; let us persevere to leave a better place for the future generations. It is in our hands to make our place most liveable one".
Mega Solung celebrations end
Pema calls for team Arunachal spirit
PASIGHAT, Sep 13: The five days mega Solung celebrations concluded on Tuesday evening at the Giidi Notko, near the Sibo Korong river at Pasighat. The mega Solung which was organised to mark the 50th year of centralised celebration witnessed massive participation.
Attending the concluding day of the celebration, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that tradition, roots and culture of the tribal society should be kept alive.
Tribal languages, culture needed to be safeguarded, he said adding younger generations need to preserve the culture and traditions of the state.
Disclosing that he was not in the race for the Chief Minister and it was the MLAs who decided that he take over the reign of the state, Pema called upon the people of the state to work together as Team Arunachal to take the state forward.
"We don't have resources in the state and we are dependent on the centre for all sorts of funding," Pema said while emphasising on proper implementation of all programmes of the Centre. No project will be implemented blindly, he said.
The CM informed that the investment advisory would be in place soon to tap horticulture, tourism and hydro power potentials of the state. He also said that passenger flights will start soon from Pasighat. Further, he announced construction of a market for Pasighat to promote and encourage self sustainable initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP MLA Tamiyo Taga appreciated the concept of the Mega Solung. He said that tradition of Solung has to be kept alive for generations to come. The Giidi Notko can be turned into a Cultural Centre, as an asset for Pasighat as well as the state.
Pasighat East MLA, Kaling Moyong appreciated the people for their keen participation and making the event a successful one.
Governor designate arrives at Raj Bhawan
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh designate, V. Shanmuganathan, Governor of Meghalaya, arrived at Itanagar on Tuesday.
Minister RD & Panchayat Raj, Tanga Byaling, Chief Secretary, Shakuntala D Gamlin and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The Governor designate is scheduled to be sworn-in in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhawan, Itanagar on 14th September 2016. He will be the 20th Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier on his arrival at Naharlagun helipad, a guard of honour by Arunachal Pradesh Police was presented to the Governor designate.
At Raj Bhawan, Shanmuganathan was received by officers and staffs of Raj Bhawan led by Secretary to Governor Dr.Joram Beda. A guard of honour by Indo-Tibetan Border Police platoon was also presented to the Governor designate.
Later, Shanmuganathan visited Itafort, Itanagar Buddhist Gompa and Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum here.
During his visit to the State Museum, the Governor was impressed by the content and composition of diorama. He said that the museum will definitely communicate an idea about the tribal life of arunachal Pradesh.

Rijiju assures civil terminal at Pasighat ALG
PASIGHAT, Sep 13: Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju assured that he will take up the matter of developing a civil terminal at the recently launched Advanced Landing Ground here, informing that he has already communicated with the concern authority regarding the matter.
While addressing the huge gathering on the concluding day of the Mega Solung celebration here on Tuesday, Rijiju that the Centre is committed to development of Arunachal Pradesh and the entire North East region.

DC holds coordination meeting
DAPORIJO, Aug 13: A coordination meeting with all HoDs was held in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner Daporijo on Monday.
Addressing the officers, Upper Subansiri DC, A. K Singh sought full cooperation from the entire department for all-round development of the district
Interacting with officers of all departments, the DC instructed them to furnish the status and activities of the department in both hard and soft copy.
Considering the importance of public health the DMO was asked to monitor the availability of medicine in the District Hospital. He also stressed for equipping all the health centres with minimum required staff and medicines.
The DC also instructed the DDSE that teachers posted to the various schools must remain at their respective schools.
He asked the respective Executive Engineers of PHED and Power to monitor for possible uninterrupted supply of water and electricity.
Taking serious note on absence of officers and officials in their respective outposts, DC Singh asked the HoDs concern for necessary action. He also emphasized on proper monitoring of implementation of Govt. schemes. Further referring to the recent flood of Sigin river, the DC asked the concern department to stay alert on occurrence of any such further incident during the monsoon.

Extending her festival greetings on the occasion, the Union Minister Smriti Irani, said that our rich cultural heritage is our pride and strength. She called upon the Adi community to take forward the rich cultural heritage.
Earlier, Rijiju, in his address termed the Ponung performance of Adis as a unique cultural asset and essence which is used for expressing the popular sentiment of the time and also to pass down oral narratives, stories, proverbs etc.
"Our traditional costumes, food and customs, language are all vital part of our cultural identity," Rijiju said, and called upon to keep alive the vibrant cultural identity and values of the Adi society.
"It is the responsibility of all us to carry forward the rich cultural legacy," he added.
While the West is realizing the value of its long lost cultural past despite all its modern advancement, Rijiju said that Arunachal Pradesh is still a cultural treasure house. He called upon the young generation to be vital stakeholders in the preserving our cultural identity.

12-hr Namsai bandh passes off peacefully

NAMSAI, Sep 13: The 12 hours Namsai district bandh on Tuesday called by the All Tai Khamti Singpho Students's Union (ATKSSU), All Namsai Area Youth Association (ANAYA) and All Namsai District Students' Union (ANDSU) passed off peacefully.
The bandh was called to register protest and condemn the Sep 10 attack by villagers on a police team who were in the line of duty. The bandh which started from 6am in the morning and ended at 6pm witnessed cooperation from all quarters.
Vehicles remained off the roads, business establishments downed their shutters and the general public too extended their cooperation and solidarity.
The bandh organisers also submitted a joint memorandum to Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, R. K. Sharma with six demands. The demands included increase of police strength in the Namsai P.S, taking into account that station has the highest registration of cases in the state at present, while it is functioning with only 14 personnel besides the officers. The memorandum also stated that Namsai is a sensitive area bordering north Assam.
The other demands include establishment of a police check point at Banka Bridge over Noa Dihing river to curb smuggling of drugs, opening of women cell at Namsai P.S, separate Narcotic Cell in the Namsai PS to deal with drugs related cases, to start operation of the Drug De-Addiction Centre at Lathao with all necessary amenities at the earliest to cater to the needs of drug addicts and to constitute a flying squad with dedicated police personnel to nab drug peddlers and addicts.
The organisations which include ATKSSU, ANAYA,ANDSU and SEWA has given thirty days for fulfillment of the demands.
In a press statement, the bandh organisers stated that the bandh was called to send a clear message to all the drug addicts, peddlers and people who harbour them, who are a menace to society that it will continue the fight against such social evils.
Meanwhile the total arrests made by police in the case have gone up to ten while many are said to be absconding. Police informed that investigations are going on to arrest all the culprits. The condition of the two policemen who were injured during the incidents is improving in a hospital at Dibrugarh.
Arunachal exempted from making payment of Job Card holders through bank accounts
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India, on request of the State Government, has exempted the state from making payment of wages and non-wages under MGNREGA through bank/post office account to the MGNREGA wage earners, where outreach bank/postal services are inadequate.
The payment of wages and non-wages under MGNREGA to the Job Card holders would be made in cash by constituting a payment committee in each Gram Panchayat. The cash payment proceeding would be video graphed.
The DC cum DPC of the concern districts would constitute the payment committee after getting the nominees from the concern GP/PO level.
The arrangement for making cash payment to the Job Card holder is an interim arrangement till proper banking and postal arrangement are established.
The payment committee will comprise of Gram Panchayat president/chairman, GPM of the concern GP, two women SHG members (wherever available), traditional tribal head/Gaon Bura, at least three MGNREGA workers of the concern GP out of which one should be woman, school headmaster, teacher.
Allow construction of highway in Ziro-Hapoli District HQ: ASU
ITANAGAR, Sept 13: The Apatani Students' Union has expressed displeasure that the stretch of Ziro-Hapoli district Hq approx 10km has been left out of Potin to Pangin road (NH-13) for the want of NOC from Indian Air Force (IAF).
In its representation submitted to the union minister of state, road transport and highway, shipping, chemical & fertilizer requesting not to hold the work and approve the alignment as approved on the existing highway, it argued that ALG Ziro, ALG Aalo and ALG Pasighat falls parallel on same NH-13 and same gazette notification dated 31/03/2011 and IAF did not raise any objection and NOC was not required for ALG Aalo and Pasighat.
Highway construction is undergoing smoothly. Hence in the same line Ziro-Hapoli stretch of 10km must be allowed to go ahead, the union said.
Calling prohibitory order with gazette notification of IAF as contrary to right to live, it feared that if the highway is shifted from the existing road it would lead to tremendous destruction of forest and vegetation area which will cause heavy water crisis in Ziro Hq.
Workshop on 'Development of Scientific Temperament' held
NAHARLAGUN, Sep 13: A day-long workshop on 'Development of Scientific Temperament' was organised by Vidya Bharati Sanskriti Shiksha Sansthan, sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India on Monday at Abotani Vidya Niketan (AVN), Pachin, Naharlagun.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Tamo Mibang, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, highlighted the importance of science in this modern world and detailed on the achievements of science.
Prof. Mibang also exhorted the students to be disciplined, sincere and hard working towards studies to achieve the goal. He also lauded the efforts of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan in organizing such workshops for the students.
Scientists from North East Institute of Science and Technology Branch Laboratory, Naharlagun and Science Teachers from Abotani Vidya Niketan attended the workshop as resource persons.
The workshop aimed to create interest in the children for science through scientific and technological demonstration of the achievements by Indians in the fields of science and technology in the 21st century.
More than 600 students from Abotani Vidya Niketan, Pachin and Govt. Secondary School Pachin took part in the workshop.
Mass tree plantation drive
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: In collaboration with Dirgha Forest Range Officer under Banderdewa Forest Division, All Papum Pare District Border Students' Union conducted mass tree plantation cum awareness campaign at Govt Secondary School, Kakoi on Monday. Around 500 saplings were planted during the drive around school premise. Students, teaching staff, panchayat leaders, Gaon Burahs and general public attended the programme.
SSA teachers demand release of salary
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The SSA teachers of Upper Siang district have demanded immediate release of pending salary of February and March, 2016 before September 30 failing which the Upper Siang Unit of AASSATA will sit on strike from October 1 to 10, 2016 in a democratic manner. It was decided in a meeting of the SSA teachers of the district held on September 10.
Further, the district unit appealed to the state government and CEC, AASSATA to produce a clear picture on the enhancement of salary, DPC and implementation of RTE Act latest by November 30 failing which the District unit would go for democratic indefinite strike from December 1, 2016.
CM conveys Onam greetings
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has extended warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Onam, one of the biggest Hindu festivals, originally celebrated in Kerala and by all Malayalam speaking people across the world.
"A large chunk of our populace is from Kerala, who are immensely contributing to the growth of Arunachal Pradesh as government employees and private entrepreneurs. People of the state from all walks of life join them in the celebration," the Chief Minister said in a message on eve of the most important day of the festival Thiru Onam.
Conveying his best wishes on the occasion, Khandu prayed Lord Vishnu for good fortune and best of health for all.
Onam festival marks the commemoration of Vamana avatar of Vishnu and the subsequent homecoming of the mythical King Mahabali.
Water supply disrupted
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Water supply remained disrupted in A, B, P sectors, Raj Bhawan and it's adjacent areas; Zero point, Upper ESS, Police Station, ItaFort area, Doordarshan Colony and its peripheral areas after two transformers at Sinkiview Water Treatment Plant exploded on September 8 and 10, 2016.
The Department will supply the minimum required water to the consumers through tankers and /or by using DG set until the damaged transformers was replaced or repaired, according to a departmental release.
NIT convocation
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The 3rd Convocation of NIT-Arunachal Pradesh will be held on September 14 at Yupia from 2pm.

'Fulfill promise'
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The Yupia Youth Welfare Association (YYWA) has alleged the state Govt of not fulfilling its promise that the land donors of Yupia would be provided with C and D grade job and contract works.
In its representation to the Yupia DC requesting for job and work preference to the land donors' family members, it claimed that the bonafide educated unemployed youths of the land donor families are having a hard time in search of suitable jobs.
Drug de-addiction campaign concludes
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Drug de-addiction campaigns were conducted under the theme "My Education My Future" in various places in Anjaw district recently. This was the outcome of the 10 days awareness campaign against drug abuse in the district by local NGO 'Being Mishmi' and International Brahama Kumari Groups in collaboration with the District Administration.
The campaign was held in major villages of Walong, Hawai, Manchal circles and Hayuliang, especially to sensitize the youths against the drug abuse.
It was observed that many young students have already been victims to opium addiction that needs urgent attention of the parents, well-wishers and district administration or else the menace could be a threat to the future of Mishmi community.
A few experts were engaged to counsel and motivate the victims of evil practices to abstain from such ruinous habits.
Rome Mele, Circle Officer of Hawai took a leading role in this campaign. The Government employees, educated youths, senior citizens were urged to set examples for the young ones by giving up such bad habits.
A few audio-visual slides were also displayed as part of the motivation and good habits of the youth.
The NGO was optimistic that in future more such activities could be taken up in the interest of the people of the district and the community.
The campaign, which was started on August 29, concluded on September 11.
BNFC, AUFC win in Vishwakarma Football
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: BNFC and AUFC won their respective matches in the Vishwakarma Football Trophy Tournament played at KV No 2 playground, Chimpu on Tuesday.
BNFC defeated Bosco United FC 4-0 in the first match while AUFC beat CRYFC 2-0 in the second match.
Lele Sonam scored 3 goals and Talang Padu scored 1 for BNFC.
The scorers for AUFC were Dojum Nomuk and Adam Rimo.
Young Brother FC will meet Forest CO-Operation FC in the first match at 2.30 pm on Wednesday and Hard Core Jumpers FC will be up against Manipuri FC at 3.30 pm, according to organizing committee.
ASM seeks fund for restoration of school
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Anchal Samity Member of 2 Nyapin 2/7 Langte Loth-I under Kurung Kumey district said that in spite of repeated request, the state Govt failed to sanction fund for the renovation of Govt M.E School Langte Loth.
The ASM Tadar Tayu further said that he had written a letter to Chief Minister informing him about dilapidated infrastructure of Govt M.E School Langte Loth and requesting him to sanction fund for restoration of dilapidated school infrastructures. But the authorities have not taken any step for renovation and maintenance of the school, the ASM said.
AACWA seeks better implementation of e-tendering process
ITANAGAR, Sept 13: Claiming that many works departments are not complying with the order to adopt e-tendering process for works amounting to Rs 1 crore and above, the All Arunachal Contractors' Welfare Association (AACWA) has sought intervention of the chief minister for better implementation of the new system.
Asking the CM to direct the chief engineers to adopt the e-tendering process, it said that some departments have adopted the system and works have been completed successfully.
ACA announces team for U-19 cricket tournament
ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) has announced a 15-member team for the U-19 Cricket Tournament being conducted by BCCI at Bangalore from September 15.
The team: Licha Jhon (Captain), Nada Kago, Mapu Yigam, Phassang Taniang, Hayat Ansari, Pritam Raj, Manoj Barman, Jainul Laskar, Rajan Neopani (Wicket keeper), Ankush Kumar, Chand Kumar Sharma, Md Sarfaraz Ahmad, Anil Sahani, Niraman Barman and Tinku Devnath.
Joram Anand, Kamsa Yangfo and Raju Vais are the manager, coach and trainer of the team.
Ganapati Puja celebrated
YINGKIONG, Sep 13: The famous Hindu festival of Ganapati Puja was celebrated by personnel of BRTF, Army and residents of Yingkiong town from September 5 to 11.
The religious occasion, which came immediately after Solung festival in Yingkiong, kept the people in a festive mood for the last fortnight.
The devotees of 761 BRTF performed 'puja' worshiping the idol of lord Ganesh in the temple. The immersion ceremony was done of September 11 in Siang River. DIPRO
